In Guatemala, giant handmade kites - Know as barriletes - are an important symbol during Día de los Muertos, especially in towns like Sumpango nd Santiago Sacatepéquez. They are created to honor loved ones, celebrate life, and connect generations through art and tradition. During this experience, you'll leanr about the history and meaning behing Guatemalan barriletes while creating your own handmade kite step by step. Each participants will receive all the materials needed and will have the opportunity to design and build their own barrilete while connecting with this special cultural tradition in a creative and personal way.
